Arusha's Climate
Arusha sits in northern Tanzania at the foot of Mount Meru near the Kenyan border, at an elevation of around 1,400 m that gives it a mild tropical highland climate, cool and comfortable year-round despite being close to the equator. Daytime highs are usually 22–27°C, with cool nights of 12–16°C. Its near-equatorial position brings two rainy seasons: the long rains (March–May) with heavier downpours and the short rains (November–December), which are lighter; between them come dry, sunny spells, especially from June to October.
