Aurangabad's Climate
Aurangabad sits on the Deccan plateau in Maharashtra, western India, at roughly 570 m above sea level, with a tropical semi-arid climate and three seasons. Summers (March–June) are hot and dry, with daytime highs usually 36–42°C and low humidity. The southwest monsoon (June–September) delivers most of the year's rain, cooling and dampening the air, though totals stay lower than on the coast because the city lies in a rain shadow. Winters (November–February) are cool and dry, dropping to 10–14°C at night, and are the most comfortable time of year.
