Bannu's Climate

Bannu lies in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in north-western Pakistan, in an inland basin on the Kurram River near the tribal borderlands, at about 33°N and moderate elevation. It has a hot semi-arid climate with a large gap between day and night temperatures. Summers (May–August) are hot and dry, with daytime highs usually 36–42°C and occasional dust storms, while the summer monsoon (July–August) brings scattered showers but far less rain than eastern Pakistan. Winters (December–February) are cool and dry, with nights dipping to 2–6°C. Spring and autumn are short but pleasant and the nicest times to visit.
