Chattogram's Climate
Chattogram (Chittagong) is a major port city on the shore of the Bay of Bengal in south-eastern Bangladesh, with a hot, humid tropical monsoon climate (Köppen Am) year round. The south-west monsoon from June to September brings very heavy rainfall, overcast skies, high humidity and frequent flooding, while a cooler dry season from December to February offers clear skies and comfortable temperatures of 18–28°C. The pre-monsoon months (March–May) are hot and sticky, with daytime highs of 30–34°C, and this is also the season when tropical cyclones can form over the Bay of Bengal.
