Jabalpur's Climate
Jabalpur sits in central Madhya Pradesh in the heart of India, an inland plateau city on the Narmada River, with a tropical monsoon climate marked by three distinct seasons. Summers (April–June) are very hot and dry, with daytime highs of 38–43°C, sometimes topping 45°C amid scorching dry winds. The monsoon (July–September) brings heavy rain, high humidity and thick cloud that eases the heat considerably. Winters (November–February) are cool and dry and very pleasant, with daytime highs of 22–27°C and chilly nights of 8–12°C. A hot, sticky pre-monsoon transition bridges the two.
