Jodhpur's Climate
Jodhpur sits on the edge of the Thar Desert in Rajasthan, northwestern India, and has a hot semi-arid climate with low rainfall and fierce sunshine for most of the year. Summers (April–June) are scorching and dry, with daytime highs typically 38–43°C and occasionally above 45°C, accompanied by hot, dusty winds. The southwest monsoon brings a short spell of rain from July to September that eases the heat, though totals stay modest. Winters (December–February) are warm and dry by day, around 22–27°C, but nights can fall to 8–10°C and turn briefly chilly.
