Ludhiana's Climate
Ludhiana sits on the Punjab plains of northwest India, deep inland, giving it a semi-arid subtropical climate with wide swings between seasons. Summers (April–June) are scorching and dry, usually 38–43°C and sometimes above 45°C, with spells of hot loo winds, followed by the monsoon from July to September that brings showers, thunderstorms and high humidity. Winters (December–February) are cool, with days around 15–20°C and nights that can dip to 4–7°C, often bringing dense fog and worsening air quality.
