Malingao's Climate
Malingao lies in the Cotabato area of Mindanao in the southern Philippines, near inland lowlands and not far from the coast. At a low latitude close to the equator, it has a hot, humid tropical rainforest climate that stays warm all year with little seasonal swing, daytime highs steady around 30–33°C and mild nights. Rainfall is fairly evenly spread but heavier in the middle and later months, mostly as afternoon showers and thunderstorms. Being in the far south, Mindanao is rarely hit directly by typhoons compared with the northern islands, though heavy rain and high humidity remain common.
