Meerut's Climate

Meerut lies in western Uttar Pradesh, on the Ganges–Yamuna plain of northern India, inland and not far from Delhi. It has a humid subtropical climate with very hot summers and cool winters. From April to June the heat is intense and dry, with temperatures often 38–44°C. The southwest monsoon brings rain from roughly late June to September, easing the heat but sending humidity soaring. Winters (December–February) are cool, with daytime highs of 18–23°C and nights dropping to 5–8°C, often accompanied by dense fog and polluted air.
