Nagpur's Climate
Nagpur lies almost at the geographic centre of India, in the state of Maharashtra, an inland city on the Deccan plateau far from any coast. It has a tropical savanna climate with three distinct seasons. Summers (March–June) are dry and intensely hot, with daytime highs usually 40–45°C and occasional brutal heatwaves, while the southwest monsoon (June–September) brings heavy showers and thunderstorms that cool things down but push humidity up. Winters (November–February) are mild and dry, with nights dropping to 10–14°C, making it the most pleasant time of year.
