Pimpri-Chinchwad's Climate
Pimpri-Chinchwad lies in Maharashtra, India, on the Deccan Plateau at about 560 m elevation next to Pune, in the western interior, and has a tropical savanna climate with three clear seasons. Summer (March–May) is hot and dry, usually 33–38°C, with cooler evenings thanks to the altitude. The southwest monsoon (June–September) is cooler, cloudy and showery, while winter (November–February) is cool and dry, with nights that can dip to 10–14°C. Sitting on the plateau, the city stays more comfortable than the humid coastal lowlands.
