Shivaji Nagar's Climate
Shivaji Nagar is the central district of Pune in Maharashtra, western India, set on the Deccan plateau at around 560 m, which tempers its climate compared with the lowlands. It has a tropical savanna climate with three clear seasons. The hot season (March-May) is dry and warm, with daytime highs typically 33-38°C; the south-west monsoon (June-September) brings showers, cloud and cooler, humid air; and winter (November-February) is dry and pleasant, with nights dropping to 10-14°C. Thanks to the elevation, both summer days and winter nights feel milder than on the plains.
