Tiruchirappalli's Climate
Tiruchirappalli sits inland in Tamil Nadu, southern India, on the banks of the Kaveri River and far from the coast, giving it a hot, semi-dry tropical climate. The hot season (March–June) is the harshest, with temperatures typically 35–40°C and some days above 42°C under fierce sun and dry air. The southwest monsoon (June–September) brings only scattered rain, while most rainfall arrives with the northeast monsoon (October–December) in showers and thunderstorms. The cool dry season (December–February) is the most pleasant, with nights easing to 20–23°C.
