Cali's Climate
Cali sits in the Cauca River valley in southwestern Colombia, at around 1,000 m elevation between two Andean ranges and not far from the equator. That setting gives it a warm, steady tropical savanna climate all year, with daytime highs usually 28–32°C and pleasantly cooler nights. There are no distinct hot or cold seasons, only wetter and drier spells: the two main rainy seasons fall roughly in March–May and September–November, when showers and thunderstorms tend to arrive in the late afternoon and evening, separated by two drier, sunnier periods. Breezes funnelling down from the mountain passes help cool Cali in the evenings.
