Ciudad Guayana's Climate
Ciudad Guayana stands at the meeting of the Orinoco and Caroní rivers in southeast Venezuela and, being close to the equator, is hot and humid almost year-round under a tropical savanna climate. Daytime highs sit around 30–34°C in every month, with little seasonal change. A long wet season runs from May to November, peaking around July and August with frequent tropical showers and thunderstorms that swell the rivers. A shorter dry season from December to April brings more sunshine, lower humidity and hotter, hazier midday spells.
