Ciudad Juárez's Climate
Ciudad Juárez lies in Chihuahua state, northern Mexico, right on the US border opposite El Paso, in the Chihuahuan Desert at around 1,130 m, giving it a hot arid desert climate with large day-to-night temperature swings. Summers (June–August) are very hot and dry, with daytime highs usually 33–38°C, but the North American monsoon brings late-day thunderstorms from July to September. Winters (December–February) are cold, with days around 12–16°C and nights that can fall below 0°C, occasionally with light snow. The year is dry and sunny overall, with dusty air and strong winds common in spring.
