Guadalajara's Climate
Guadalajara sits in west-central Mexico, in the state of Jalisco, on a highland plateau at around 1,560 m above sea level, giving it a mild subtropical-highland climate despite its low latitude. The year splits into a dry and a wet season: the dry season (November–May) is warm, sunny and almost rainless, with daytime highs typically 26–31°C but cool nights, while the wet season (June–October) is a touch cooler, with lively thunderstorms in the late afternoon and evening that bring most of the annual rainfall. Thanks to the elevation, temperatures stay comfortable year-round, rarely too hot or too cold, with a notable day-to-night swing.
