Santiago de Querétaro's Climate
Santiago de Querétaro lies on Mexico's central plateau at around 1,800 metres, so despite its tropical latitude it enjoys a mild semi-arid highland climate that is warm and sunny for most of the year. Temperatures vary little: daytime highs are usually 22–28°C with cool nights, and April–May is the warmest stretch before the rains, reaching up to 32°C. The wet season (June–September) brings afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms that green the landscape, while the dry season (November–April) is clear, sunny and arid. Winter nights turn chilly, occasionally dropping near 5°C.
