Goiânia's Climate

Goiânia is the capital of Goiás state in central-western Brazil, set far inland on the cerrado plateau at around 750 m, and has a tropical savanna climate with two sharply contrasting seasons. In the southern hemisphere, its warm rainy season runs from October to April, bringing afternoon showers and thunderstorms, daytime highs around 29–32°C and high humidity. The dry season from May to September is almost rainless, with clear blue skies and very low humidity; days stay warm but nights can turn pleasantly cool.
