Manaus's Climate
Manaus sits deep in the Amazon rainforest at the meeting of the Negro and Solimões rivers in northwestern Brazil, just a few degrees south of the equator, giving it a hot, humid tropical rainforest climate all year. Temperatures barely change, with daytime highs of 30–34°C, nights around 23–25°C, and consistently high humidity. Rather than four seasons, it has a wet season (roughly December to May) with heavy showers and thunderstorms that swell the rivers, and a drier season (June to November) that feels hotter and stickier. The UV index is very high on most days.
