Ipoh's Climate
Ipoh sits in a limestone valley in Perak state on the west of peninsular Malaysia, close to the equator and shaped by a hot, humid tropical rainforest climate. Daytime highs hold steady at 31–34°C with nights near 23–24°C all year, and there is effectively no cold season. Humidity stays high and showers or thunderstorms typically build in the late afternoon and evening; the wettest spells arrive around March–April and September–November as the monsoons shift. The early months of the year run comparatively drier.
