Johor Bahru's Climate
Johor Bahru lies at the southern tip of Peninsular Malaysia, across the strait from Singapore and barely a degree from the equator, giving it a hot, humid equatorial climate all year. Temperatures stay steady, with daytime highs usually 31–33°C, nights near 24–25°C, and very high humidity. There is no true dry season; rain falls year-round but peaks during the northeast monsoon from November to January, when heavy showers and thunderstorms can bring localized flooding. Mornings are often hot and sticky before convective storms build in the afternoon, and the UV index runs high.
