Kisangani's Climate
Kisangani lies right on the equator, on the banks of the Congo River deep in the rainforest basin of northeastern Democratic Republic of the Congo, giving it a hot, humid tropical rainforest climate year-round. Temperatures stay steady near 30–32°C by day and 20–22°C at night, humidity is consistently high, and there is no real dry season. Afternoon convective thunderstorms occur on most days, with two rainfall peaks around March–May and September–November; the spells in December–February and June–August are a little drier but still humid. Skies are often cloudy, and UV climbs high when they clear.
