Kryvyy Rih's Climate
Kryvyy Rih lies deep inland on the steppe of south-central Ukraine, along the Inhulets and Saksahan rivers, with a temperate continental climate of hot summers and cold winters. Summers (June–August) are warm and fairly dry, with daytime highs usually 26–30°C, occasional heatwaves above 33°C and scattered thunderstorms, while winters (December–February) are cold and overcast, typically -6°C to 0°C, with snowfall and frost. Spring and autumn are short, pleasant transitional seasons. Rainfall is moderate and spread through the year, peaking slightly in early summer.
