Odesa's Climate
Odesa is a port city on the northwestern shore of the Black Sea in southern Ukraine, with a mild semi-arid climate moderated by the sea. Summers (June–August) are hot and fairly dry, with daytime highs of 26–30°C, occasionally above 32°C, and scattered thunderstorms; this is the peak beach season. Winters (December–February) are cool and damp, hovering around 0 to 3°C, with light snow and chilly winds off the steppe. Spring and autumn are gentle and pleasant with moderate rainfall. Being right on the coast, Odesa rarely sees extremes and enjoys a steady sea breeze.
