Abuja's Climate
Abuja, Nigeria's capital, sits in the center of the country on an inland plateau a few hundred metres above sea level, giving it a hot tropical savanna climate split into two clear seasons. The rainy season runs from April to October with cloudy skies, heavy showers, strong thunderstorms and high humidity, while the dry season from November to March is sunny and parched, shaped by the harmattan wind that carries Saharan dust and leaves the air hazy and dry. Daytime highs typically reach 30–37°C, peaking just before the rains arrive.
