Bandung's Climate
Bandung is the capital of West Java, Indonesia, set on a volcanic plateau at around 768 m, which makes it noticeably cooler than the lowland cities near the equator. Its highland tropical climate stays mild all year, with daytime highs usually of 22–28°C and nights that can fall to 16–18°C, sometimes feeling crisp at dawn. The wet season runs from October to April, bringing frequent afternoon showers and thunderstorms that peak around December to March, while the drier, more pleasant season lasts from May to September. Humidity stays high through most of the year.
