Batam's Climate
Batam is an Indonesian island in the Singapore Strait, just south of Singapore and barely 1° north of the equator, giving it a hot, humid tropical rainforest climate all year. Temperatures barely change, with daytime highs typically 30–33°C and nights of 24–26°C throughout the year, alongside high humidity and strong sun. The main wet season comes with the northeast monsoon from November to March, bringing heavy showers and thunderstorms; the remaining months are somewhat drier but still see scattered showers. UV levels are very high almost year-round.
