Semarang's Climate
Semarang is a coastal port city on the north coast of Java, Indonesia, sitting just south of the equator on the Java Sea, and has a hot, humid tropical monsoon climate all year. Temperatures barely change, generally 24–33°C throughout the year, with high humidity and strong sun. The rainy season (roughly November–March) is driven by the northwest monsoon and brings frequent showers and thunderstorms, sometimes flooding the low coastal areas; the dry season (May–September) is sunnier, muggier and drier. Being near the equator, the city has no true cold season.
