Tangerang's Climate
Tangerang lies in Banten province, just west of the capital Jakarta on the island of Java, Indonesia, near the coast and just south of the equator, so it is hot and humid all year under a tropical monsoon climate. Daytime highs are usually 30–33°C, easing to 23–25°C at night, with little change from month to month. The year splits into a rainy season (roughly November–April), when the northwest monsoon brings heavy showers and thunderstorms peaking in January and February and prone to flooding, and a drier season (May–September) with more sunshine. Humidity stays high nearly all year.
