Bogor's Climate
Bogor sits on an upland plateau in the foothills of West Java, Indonesia, at about 260 m elevation just south of Jakarta, and has a tropical rainforest climate (Köppen Af) known as the rainiest in the country. Its altitude keeps it milder than the lowlands, with daytime highs usually 28–31°C and comfortable nights around 21–23°C. It is humid year-round, with afternoon thunderstorms on most days, especially heavy in the wet season from November to April when the north-westerly monsoon is strong; June to September is drier but still sees showers.
